Skill Development Council(Updates)

1.    SDC launched a joint venture with Indus Motors in September 1999. The objective of this project was to establish a training center and was called Regional Training Center. It was worth Rs. O.8 Million and this amount along with a Resource person was supplied by the Indus Motor Company. In this center, 160 individuals were trained during the first year. The training charges were also paid by the Indus Motor Company.

2.   Skill Competition 2000 was a great success. Rastgar Engineering volunteered a CASH AWARD of Rs. 10,000/- along with RASTGAR SHEILD.



1. Planning is in progress to introduce I.T Certificate Courses and their testing through Internet. The program may be launched in April 2001.


2. Four different training proposals are submitted to Ministry of Labor, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis and Ministry of Science and Techn.


3. Training objectives according to the geographical area of Pakistan is in progress. This will considerably enhance the Employment Ratings of SDC trained individuals.

4. SDC is encouraging market related programs to optimize multi-model training.

Skill Competitions are being organized by the SDC. The winning participants will be given awards like RASTGAR SHIELD along with CASH AWARDS.
